Compete Studio is owned and operated by Compete Services LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“Compete Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our websites, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
1. Who We Are
Compete Studio provides management and marketing software for studios and small businesses.
Our users (“Studios”) use the Service to manage student data, process payments, and communicate with customers via email and SMS tools.
When we collect or process personal information:
We act as a data controller for information we collect directly from you;
We act as a data processor for information our Studio customers collect from their students or clients using our platform.
2. SMS Privacy and No-Sharing Statement (Required 10DLC Clause)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
This statement applies to all SMS/MMS activities processed through our platform and fulfills CTIA and 10DLC disclosure requirements.
3. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
We may collect:
Name, email address, phone number, mailing address;
Payment and billing details (processed securely by third-party providers);
Business information such as studio name, role, and location;
Communications and messages you send through our system;
Information submitted through forms, registration tools, or other interactive features.
If you are a Studio’s customer, that Studio may collect additional information (e.g., attendance, preferences, emergency contacts) via Compete Studio forms.
b. Information Automatically Collected
We may automatically collect:
Device type, browser, and IP address;
Usage data (logins, feature use, timestamps);
Cookies and tracking data for analytics and functionality.
c. Information from Third Parties
We may receive data from integrations you connect, such as payment processors, CRM systems, or communication platforms.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
Manage user accounts and billing;
Deliver communications (including text messages and emails);
Detect and prevent fraud or misuse;
Comply with legal or regulatory requirements;
Send service-related or administrative notices.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We share data only as necessary to operate the Service (see Section 9).
5. SMS and 10DLC Compliance
Compete Studio supports text-messaging services under U.S. carrier and 10DLC regulations.
Studios must obtain express written consent before sending SMS communications.
Recipients can opt out easily (“Reply STOP to unsubscribe”).
Studios are responsible for maintaining opt-in and opt-out records.
Compete Studio monitors compliance and may suspend accounts violating these rules.
6. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data under one or more lawful bases:
Contract: To provide the Service;
Consent: When you voluntarily provide or authorize information;
Legitimate Interest: For business operations and product improvement;
Legal Obligation: To comply with laws and prevent misuse.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
Maintain authentication and preferences;
Improve functionality and analytics;
Enhance your user experience.
You may disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.
We use tools such as Google Analytics; you can opt out at Google’s opt-out page.

Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights;

All partners are contractually bound to safeguard personal data and use it solely to perform their designated functions.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
All the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
This language fulfills CTIA and 10DLC disclosure requirements and overrides any conflicting terms elsewhere in this policy.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review those policies separately.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:
Provide the Service;
Comply with legal or accounting obligations;
Enforce agreements.
Studios may request deletion of their data at any time by emailing privacy@competestudio.com.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our Service is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If discovered, such data will be deleted promptly.
13. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access and receive a copy of your data;
Request correction or deletion;
Withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing;
Object to certain processing activities.

14. Email Communications (CAN-SPAM Compliance)
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in each message or by contacting us.
Transactional emails (e.g., receipts, account notices) may still be sent as part of Service delivery.
15. State Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA and Others)
Residents of California and certain other states have additional rights, including:
The right to know what personal data we collect;
The right to request deletion;
The right to opt out of data sharing or sale (we do not sell data).
We do not discriminate against users who exercise these rights.
16. Data Breach Notification
If a data breach occurs, we will notify affected users via email within 7 business days or as required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated version will include a new effective date and be posted at https://competestudio.com/privacy-policy.
Continued use of the Service after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
